SUMNER — The final indictment to be made public from the June 9 term of the Tallahatchie County grand jury in the Second Judicial District was that of a man facing multiple drug charges, according to records on file in the circuit clerk's office here.
Absentee ballots for Tallahatchie County’s Aug. 4 primary are now available at the circuit clerk’s offices in Charleston and Sumner.
Any qualified and registered voter who will be absent from their county of residence on election day may vote by absentee ballot.
The North Tallahatchie Water Association on Wednesday issued a boil-water alert for users who live on Mudline Road, Pine Hill Church Road, Pine Hill Road and George Allen Road.
The precautionary alert was announced due to a break in a water supply line.
East Tallahatchie School District Superintendent Ellis H. “Bucky” Smith will be stepping down from the post he has held for three years.
